    Your Body Is Your Equipment.
    Let's Build It to Last.

Performance support for every athlete — from weekend warriors to Olympic competitors. Structural assessment, targeted strengthening, and recovery protocols built around how you actually move.

    Which Athlete Are You?

You train hard on weekends and grind through a desk job the rest of the week. Your body is trying to perform at full intensity without full-time preparation. The gap between what you're asking of your body and what it's been built to handle is where injuries happen — and where we work.

    What Makes This Different

Why This Isn't Your Gym, Your PT, or Your Massage

Most athletes already have people working on their body. We are not a replacement for any of them — but we do something different that they don't, and most athletes feel the difference within two visits.

    vs. Your Trainer or Gym

Your trainer builds general fitness, strength, and conditioning. We build the specific structural capacity your sport demands — the deep spinal extensors, the hip-thoracic separation, the rotational power that no general program is designed to address. We do not replace your training. We make it possible to keep doing it without breaking.

    vs. Physical Therapy

Physical therapy resolves acute injury to a functional baseline — back to walking, back to work, back to life. Most insurance-driven PT ends there because that is what it is paid to do. We continue past that baseline to build the strength and tissue capacity that prevents the next injury. We are the work that begins where PT ends.

    vs. Your Massage Therapist

General massage delivers recovery and relaxation, and it is genuinely valuable. What we do is different — targeted clinical bodywork driven by structural assessment, addressing the specific fascial restrictions, deep psoas dysfunction, and joint limitations that are limiting your performance. Both have a place. They serve different purposes.

    vs. Your Chiropractor

Chiropractic addresses joint mobility and alignment. Our work complements it — the soft-tissue work and strength training that hold those adjustments in place long-term. Many of our clients see both us and their chiropractor on a regular schedule and consider it the most durable combination they have found.

    The Modalities Behind Results

Four modalities, each chosen because the research is unambiguous and the clinical results are reproducible. We do not run a wellness package. Every modality is assigned to a specific finding from your assessment.

    STRENGTH · SPINAL ROOT CAUSE

    MedX Spinal Strengthening

    What It Is

Medical-grade isolated lumbar and cervical strengthening equipment, originally developed at the University of Florida for spinal rehabilitation research. The only equipment of its kind that can isolate the deep spinal extensors and measure their strength objectively.

    Why It Works

Conventional core training and gym-based back work recruit the large surrounding muscles long before they reach the deep extensors that actually stabilize the spine. MedX restrains the pelvis and hips so those compensating muscles cannot take over, forcing the deep extensors to do their own work. Athletes routinely discover they have spinal strength deficits of 30 to 60 percent that no other testing method had revealed.

    What the Session Is Like

Strength testing first to establish your baseline. Then short, focused, all-out sets — typically two minutes of actual work, surrounded by setup and recovery. Sessions take about 25 minutes. Strength is retested at fixed intervals so progress is measurable, not assumed.

    Who Benefits Most

Anyone whose sport loads the spine: golfers, swimmers, runners, racquet-sport athletes, lifters, anyone with a history of low back pain or who wants to build the structural capacity that prevents it.

    TISSUE · CHRONIC CONDITION RESET

    Piezowave Shockwave Therapy

    What It Is

Focused acoustic wave therapy that delivers targeted mechanical pulses into deep tissue. The Piezowave system uses precisely calibrated piezoelectric crystals to generate the sound waves and direct them to a defined depth — the same technology used in elite sports medicine clinics and professional team training rooms.

    Why It Works

Chronic tendon, fascia, and trigger-point conditions get stuck in a low-grade inflammatory loop that conventional treatment cannot break. The mechanical signal from focused shockwave triggers the body's own healing cascade — increasing local blood flow, breaking up fibrotic tissue, and resetting overactive pain pathways at the cellular level. The research is strong. The clinical results in our practice match the research.

    What the Session Is Like

Five to fifteen minutes per area treated. A focused tapping sensation that ranges from mild to moderately intense. No needles, no medication, no downtime. Most athletes return to training the same day.

    Who Benefits Most

Athletes with chronic tendinopathy (Achilles, patellar, lateral epicondyle), plantar fasciitis, hip flexor restrictions, or any condition that "almost healed" months ago and never finished — the things that have stopped responding to rest, stretching, and conventional therapy.

    RECOVERY · CELLULAR-LEVEL REPAIR

    Red Light Therapy

    What It Is

Full-body photobiomodulation using specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light, delivered on a treatment table under a panel array. The wavelengths and dose are calibrated based on the published research on tissue repair and recovery.

    Why It Works

Red and near-infrared light at specific wavelengths penetrates the skin and stimulates mitochondrial function in cells. The result is accelerated tissue repair, reduced inflammation, faster recovery between training sessions, and improved sleep quality for many athletes who use it consistently. It is one of the most thoroughly researched recovery modalities of the last decade.

    What the Session Is Like

Fifteen to twenty minutes lying on a treatment table under the panels. Warm, quiet, comfortable. Often paired with manual therapy in the same visit so the recovery work and the structural work happen together.

    Who Benefits Most

Athletes between hard training blocks. Athletes in active recovery from injury or surgery. Athletes dealing with chronic inflammation. Athletes who simply want to maintain peak readiness across a long competitive season — this is the modality that makes weekly maintenance worth showing up for.

STRUCTURE · 35 YEARS OF SKILLED HANDS

    Manual Therapy

    What It Is

Hands-on soft-tissue and joint work — including fascial release, deep psoas work, joint mobilization, and the targeted manual techniques that 35 years of clinical practice have refined. This is the work that started Fix Back & Neck Pain. Every other modality on this page exists to support and extend it.

    Why It Works

Some restrictions can only be reached by skilled hands. Adhesions, fascial restrictions, deep psoas dysfunction, and the specific structural limitations identified during your assessment respond to direct manual input in ways that no machine, foam roller, percussion gun, or stretching routine can match. The difference between general massage and skilled clinical bodywork is the same as the difference between general fitness and a precision strengthening protocol — both have value, but only one resolves the actual structural cause.

    What the Session Is Like

Twenty-five to fifty minutes per session, focused entirely on the structures the assessment identified as limiting your performance. Specific, intentional, and targeted — not a general full-body session.

    Who Benefits Most

Every athlete benefits from skilled manual work, but it is particularly transformative for those with chronic restrictions, recurring "tweaks" in the same area, asymmetries that have resisted other interventions, or the simple need to undo what twenty years of training have built into the tissue.

    The Long Arc

Your Pathway — From Assessment to Maintenance

Serious athletes do not show up once. The arc of working with us has three phases, and the most important one is the one most clinics never talk about.

    PHASE 01

    Assessment

    60 to 90 minutes · single visit

Structural mapping. We identify exactly what is limiting your performance — the strength deficits, mobility restrictions, asymmetries, and tissue limitations that conventional examination misses. You leave with a precise written picture of where your body is and a specific protocol designed for it.

First Conversation, 20 min, $75. Then a Consultation Standard at $170, or a Postural Screening with a MedX test at $390.
    PHASE 02

    Active Care

    8 to 16 weeks · weekly sessions

Your protocol, executed. Manual therapy resolves the structural restrictions. MedX builds the spinal strength deficits identified in testing. Piezowave addresses the chronic tissue conditions. Red Light supports recovery between sessions. Strength is retested at fixed intervals — your progress is measured, not assumed. Most athletes feel meaningful change within four sessions and significant change by week eight.

Sessions $85 each · MedX strength testing $125, performed three times across the cycle
    PHASE 03

    Maintenance

ongoing · 1 to 2 sessions per month

This is the phase most clinics never name. The athletes who hold their gains and stay durable across years are the ones who stop treating bodywork as an emergency intervention and start treating it as part of the program. One to two focused sessions per month maintains the structural changes you built in active care, addresses small issues before they become large ones, and protects the work.

    From the Athletes Who Stay

The athletes who make this part of their program — not their emergency plan.

    Lifelong Active

"I am in my seventies. I still walk, I still hike, and I still play weekend golf. I have been seeing Trent for years and the program he keeps me on is what keeps me moving. From minor aches to the pains that come with the activities I love, he addresses what is actually going on, and I do the stretching and strengthening he gives me between visits. This is how I stay in the life I want to be living."

    — Carol P., Lifelong Active
    Competitive Windsurfer

"Windsurfing demands everything from your back and core, and after years of competing I had reached the point where the pain was deciding when I could sail. The MedX lumbar work rebuilt strength I did not know I had lost. The Piezowave addressed restrictions in places that had been chronic for years. Stamina is up, pain is down, and I am performing at a level I had not expected to see again."

    — Sean P., Windsurfer
    Industrial Athlete

"I came in for neck pain that was making warehouse work harder every year. My chiropractor sent me. The MedX cervical program rebuilt strength I had lost — performance up 87 percent on the testing, range of motion back to full. Today I come in three times a week for the strength program and twice a month for maintenance. The work I do at the warehouse no longer hurts. This is part of how I stay on the job."

    — Ray H., Warehouse Worker

"I've worked with trainers and coaches for 20 years. What I found at Fix Back & Neck Pain was the one piece none of them could give me — a precise map of exactly what my body couldn't do, and a program to fix it. I added distance and lost the back pain I'd carried for a decade."
