A Clinical Partner for the Cases That Need More
At Fix Back & Neck Pain, we work alongside chiropractors — not in competition with them. When your patients have plateaued under manipulation, when their structural deficits need targeted strengthening, or when the soft tissue picture is more complex than adjustment alone can address, we are the referral that completes the care.
We Complement What You Do
Chiropractic care restores motion, reduces nerve interference, and addresses segmental dysfunction with precision. What it cannot do — and was never designed to do — is build the deep lumbar and cervical extensor strength that protects the spine between adjustments and over the long term.
This is the gap we fill. MedX medical-grade lumbar and cervical strengthening with pelvic stabilization specifically targets the deep stabilizers — the multifidus, the lumbar erectors, the deep cervical flexors — that maintain the structural improvements chiropractic achieves. When those muscles are strong, adjustments hold longer, recurrence rates drop, and patients progress rather than cycling through repeated episodes of care.
Many of our closest referral relationships are with chiropractors who recognized that their best outcomes came when structural strengthening was part of the picture.
What We See in Your Referred Patients
The Plateau Patient
The patient who has responded well to manipulation but keeps returning with the same presentation. The adjustment provides relief but the underlying muscular insufficiency allows the dysfunction to return. MedX lumbar or cervical strengthening addresses the structural deficit that is driving recurrence — and most plateau patients show significant improvement within 8 to 12 sessions.
The Chronic LBP Patient
Patients with chronic lumbar pain of more than 6 months duration typically have measurable lumbar extensor weakness that passive treatment cannot resolve. Research demonstrates 76% excellent or good outcomes in this population with isolated lumbar strengthening — outcomes that represent a meaningful step up from what manipulation or soft tissue work alone achieves.
The Post-Injury Patient
Patients recovering from workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, or sports injuries often have both segmental dysfunction and significant muscular deconditioning. The combination of chiropractic care for the structural component and MedX strengthening for the muscular component produces faster, more complete recovery than either approach alone.
The Psoas-Dominant Patient
Patients with anterior pelvic tilt, hip flexor dominance, and lumbar hyperlordosis often don't respond fully to adjustment because the psoas is maintaining the dysfunction. Our myofascial release and psoas-specific manual therapy — combined with MedX anterior-posterior rebalancing — addresses the root cause that adjustment cannot reach.
How We Work Together
The Referral
Simple. Call (425) 758-4619 or use the online referral form. Describe what you're seeing clinically and what you've tried. We'll assess within days and communicate back to you with our findings and treatment plan. No prior authorization required. No complex paperwork.
Co-Management
We actively co-manage referred patients with referring chiropractors. You continue your care. We add the strengthening and manual therapy component. We communicate progress at milestones — typically at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and discharge. You remain the primary provider for the patient's ongoing chiropractic care.
Shared Outcomes
When patients graduate from our program, we provide a summary of strength gains, functional improvement, and home care recommendations. This gives you a baseline for monitoring long-term progress and helps identify if further strengthening cycles are needed as the patient ages or returns to high-demand activity.
What We Offer That Extends Your Work
MedX Lumbar Strengthening
Isolated deep lumbar extensor training with pelvic stabilization. The only evidence-based method for specifically targeting the multifidus and lumbar erectors. Produces measurable, objective strength gains documented at 7 angles through full range of motion. One session per week is sufficient — making it compatible with any schedule.
MedX Cervical Strengthening
Isolated cervical extensor training with full head restraint. Specifically targets the deep cervical extensors that are chronically undertrained in neck pain patients. Especially valuable for patients with forward head posture, cervicogenic headaches, and post-whiplash presentations that have plateaued under adjustment.
Myofascial Release & Psoas Work
Assessment-led soft tissue work targeting the psoas, thoracolumbar fascia, iliotibial band, suboccipital muscles, and anterior chest wall. Addresses the fascial restrictions that limit range of motion and perpetuate the dysfunction you are working to correct. Particularly effective for patients whose adjustments don't hold.
Spinal Traction
Mechanical decompression for patients with disc herniation, stenotic presentations, and radicular symptoms. Reduces compressive loading and creates the decompressive environment that supports natural disc resorption. Highly complementary to chiropractic care for disc-involved presentations.
Piezowave Shockwave Therapy
Acoustic shockwave for tendinopathies, plantar fasciitis, calcific deposits, and chronic soft tissue injuries that have plateaued. Stimulates neovascularization and collagen remodeling — producing genuine tissue repair rather than symptom management. Particularly useful for athletic patients and workers with repetitive strain injuries.
LED Red Light Therapy
Full-body photobiomodulation for systemic inflammation reduction, tissue healing acceleration, and recovery support. Especially valuable for patients managing chronic inflammatory conditions, post-surgical recovery, or high training volumes. Can be added to any session without disrupting the treatment schedule.
Resources for Your Practice
Two pages built specifically for referring providers — printable patient materials and the deeper clinical evidence base.
Clinical Toolkit
Three downloadable PDFs covering the full referral workflow, billing and out-of-network coding, and patient-positioning flyers ("How to Refer a Patient," "MedX Spinal Rehabilitation," and "When Conventional Care Hasn't Worked"). Available as PDFs or printed copies sent to your office at no charge.

We understand the professional context in which referrals happen. We do not recruit your patients for chiropractic care. We do not suggest that what you do is insufficient. We do not position ourselves as a replacement for anything you provide.
What we are is a specialist in spinal strengthening, soft tissue work, and advanced rehabilitation modalities — a resource you can deploy for the specific presentations where those capabilities add value. Your patients remain your patients. The relationship we are building is with you, not around you.
If you have questions about a specific patient presentation and whether a referral makes sense, call us. We are happy to consult before you refer.
